International Fuel Technology Engages Top International Consultant

Initial Focus Will Be in Asian and South American Markets

ST. LOUIS--(BUSINESS WIRE)--March 10, 2003--International Fuel Technology Inc. (OTC BB: IFUE), the developer of a series of environmental fuel additives and fuel blends designed to increase fuel economy and reduce harmful emissions, announces the engagement of Sergio C. Trindade in IFT's efforts to penetrate global markets for its line of products and services.

Dr. Trindade has three decades of experience in energy, technology and environmental consulting and management, with a variety of organizations all over the world. His career included periods at Shell, Stone & Webster, Arthur D. Little, Inc., Promon (a large Brazilian technology company), and the United Nations, where he was the Assistant Secretary-General for Science and Technology. For the past 12 years Dr. Trindade has expanded his international consulting and management work at SE2T International, Ltd., which he incorporated in New York. His work on alternative and renewable fuels, especially fuel ethanol, is recognized worldwide. He holds a PhD, ChE and MSc in Chemical Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, with a minor in international business.

Dr. Trindade stated "I have spent substantial time analyzing IFT's test data and products and believe IFT has a very unique and viable technology. Use of IFT's products can extend petroleum reserves and significantly reduce harmful emissions. There are a number of markets where IFT's products can provide an immediate benefit. Initially, I will focus my efforts in the Asian and South American markets where I believe my contacts and relationships can significantly enhance IFT's existing commercialization efforts."
