ST. LOUIS – March 27, 2006 – International Fuel Technology, Inc. (OTC BB: IFUE), a fuel science and research company, today announced that Dr. Sergio C. Trindade was appointed Chief of Science and Technology of IFT. Dr. Trindade previously served as a part-time consultant to IFT.
Dr. Trindade obtained his PhD in Chemical Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) and has developed a lifelong career in engineering and management consulting all over the world. He was for five years the United Nations Assistant Secretary-General for Science and Technology and has worked with Shell, Stone & Webster, Arthur D. Little, Inc. and Promon, a large Brazilian technology company. For the past 14 years he has owned and operated his own independent consulting firm, SE²T International, Ltd.

Over that period it has become clear to me that IFT’s technology works across a broad range of markets in rail, trucking and stationary power generation applications,” said Dr. Trindade. “Significant improvements in fuel economy, reduced maintenance costs and meaningful limitations in harmful emissions translate into real economic benefit to the end user.”
