ST. LOUIS, March 4, 2008 – International Fuel Technology, Inc. (IFT) (OTCBB: IFUE) today announced that Nulon India, IFT’s distribution partner in India, recently completed extensive field trials with a number of major road transport companies. Each trial was successful and demonstrated that use of DiesoLIFT™10 increased fuel economy by over 5%.
“We are not aware of any fuel additive formulation in the market today that even comes close to the fuel economy improvement demonstrated by DiesoLIFT™10 in road transport engines,” said Mr. Krishan Golyan, Managing Director of Nulon India. “DiesoLIFT™10 was used in a variety of engines and a number of different applications (for example, city buses, long haul trucks and heavy equipment), and consistently demonstrated the ability to achieve over 5% improvement in fuel economy. Because of the success of these trials, we expect to begin realizing revenues from these road transport companies in the second quarter of 2008. Over the next 12 months we project sales of DiesoLIFT™10 to our clients in India to exceed 300 tons.”
“The most important selling point we have is the value proposition that DiesoLIFT™10 provides to the end user,” continued Mr. Golyan. “Wholesale diesel prices in India are approximately $3.30 per gallon. A 5% fuel economy improvement equates to gross savings of $.165 per gallon.”
“DiesoLIFT™10 continues to demonstrate its extraordinary value proposition to end users of diesel fuel,” said Gary Kirk, IFT’s Director of Sales and Marketing. “The benefits of our technology have been demonstrated again and again at prominent independent test facilities all over the world. The benefits of our technology have been validated in numerous field trials all over the world. We are at the point in our progress where the body of evidence demonstrating the fuel efficiency gains by using DiesoLIFT™10 is irrefutable.”
“We expect IFT to realize revenues from the sale of DiesoLIFT™10 to the rail industry in 2008,” said Jonathan Burst, IFT’s CEO. “The rail application has been our primary focus since inception, so completing extensive R&D work and advancing to the field validation trial stage is a significant milestone for IFT. The value proposition we offer to the rail industry is irrefutable and will also contribute to improving our planet for generations to come.”
