International Fuel Technology, Inc.’s DiesoLift™ BD-3 Receives “No Harm” Certification

ST. LOUIS, January 26, 2009 – International Fuel Technology, Inc. (“IFT”) (OTCBB: IFUE) announced that DiesoLIFT™ BD-3, IFT’s proprietary fuel additive formulation designed to address oxidation stability and deposit forming tendency in bio-diesel fuel blends, received no harm certification from the AGQM ( http://www.agqm-biodiesel.de/_10____169.html ). The AGQM is an independent German-based organization formed in 1999 to monitor the quality of bio-diesel.

 

The AGQM recently completed an extensive test and evaluation process on a number of oxidation stability additives designed for use with bio-diesel fuel blends. The purpose of the process was to determine which fuel additives had no detrimental interaction with: the petroleum-based fuel, other additives mixed into the petroleum-based fuel, or the engine lube oil, and included the following tests:

  • XUD9 engine test according to CEC F-23-1-01for nozzle fouling
  • DGMK 663 filtration test
  • DGM 531-1 test for engine compatibility
  • Safety test to confirm no change of safety characteristics of the bio-diesel (e.g., flash point, water hazard class)
  • Fuel specification test to confirm no change to the parameters of the norm according to EN 14214 for bio-diesel
